For a thousand years the Emperors of Ardae ruled under the
guise of being the mortal forms of the fire God Aidan, for the
blood of dragons runs in their veins. This blood, however,
commands a terrible price for if the fire within is not cooled
by the touch of one who carries the blood of the Leviathan
Ardae will be consummed by fire. But only one person is born with
the cooling blood every generation and if the Knights of Aidan can
not find him they will see the land set aflame by an Emperor driven mad.
