Note: All dates are done in the Ardaen calendar system. Each kingdom has its own calendar but following Emperor Cassan's reign and the influence of the Ardae Empire the Ardaen calendar has becoming unofficially accepted as the universal calendar.

There are twelve months in a year with twenty eight days to a month (the primary lunar cycle). There is a second moon visible in the sky but its path is erratic and it is not very bright, therefore it is not used to tell time. It is, however, taken into account by Silvae and Aquilae sailors for it does have some effect on the tides.

-8	"Dragon's Bane"
-2	Saraes is born to the Predentha tribe. Aidan is his father
-1	Aidan makes his first visit to Fior, Ardae's protectorate
0	Aidan returns to Ardae and agrees to Fior's promise of power. However he tricks the protectorate and takes all of the dragon's blood into himself. He leaves the volcano, which later becomes known as Aidan's Peak, and uses his power to unit the tribes.
1	Construction on Aidus, the first stationary city in Ardae and later its capital city, begins.
5	Ardae becomes completely unified
7	Ardae at war with Glacae
14	Saraes taken hostage in Aquilae. Aidan dies.
15	"The Silver Leviathan"
18	Saraes returns to Ardae and becomes the second Emperor
20	Ardae at war with Aquilae
21	Milya Llyr is given the Leviathan's power.
22	Milya Llyr taken to Ardae. Ardae ends war with Aquilae
23	Sarae's sires a son, Yorie
27	Ren Llyr dies. Donovan Llyr becomes King of Ardae
35	Ardae at war with Aquilae
39	Aquilae falls and comes under the rule of Ardae. The Llyr family scatters, some escape while others are brought to Aidus as slaves
40	Saraes dies. Yorie crowed Emperor
41	Yorie sires a son, Cassan
44	Ardae at war with Glacae
45	Yorie is assassinated in Glacae. Cassan is crowned Emperor and Ardae falls under council rule
56	"Of Gods and Men" The council is dissolved and Cassan takes over as Emperor. River Llyr becomes his personal slave
57	Construction begins on the artificial rivers and oasis in Ardae
60	Cassan sires twin sons, Aster and Myrre
63	The term "Emperor's Leviathan" is coined by Cassan. The pool in the Leviathan's room is deepened and a waterfall added
66	A balcony is added to River's room as well as a private garden.
83	Aster (Cassan's oldest son) sires a son, Tai
85	Myrre (Cassan's younger son) sires twin sons, Pator and Liam
89	River Llyr dies.
105	Cassan dies. Aster is crowned Emperor
106	Myrre’s second son, Liam, shows the ability to control fire. Ardae falls into chaos as Aster tries to hold onto the throne but the people demand that Liam is the true Emperor.
107	Aster is killed by Pator, when he (Aster) attempts to kill Liam. Liam is crowned Emperor and it is declared that only those who show the power of the dragon’s blood may by Emperor for only they are the embodiment of the fire god.
103	Pator official starts the "Knight of Aidan". He is the first Lord General. Justarus Grierson is his second. End of the First Dynasty
763	"Broken Wings"
768	"Flying" Rinan Llyr leaps from the balcony to his death. His Emperor commits suicide and the balcony is removed under the belief that it is unsafe to the Leviathans. Consequently the Leviathan's garden is abandoned. End of the Second Dynasty
1028	Prothero Aidan is crowed Emperor after the sudden death of his father
1030	Prothero sires a son, Darius
1051	Prothero Aidan's Leviathan, Weslyn, dies
1052	"Thorns for the Emperor" Priorden Llyr becomes the Emperor's Leviathan
1053	Darius sires a son, Virgil
1061	Darius is crowed Emperor after Prothero dies
1075	Virgil sires a son, Falen
1086	"Of Emperors and Thieves" Priorden Llyr dies. A few weeks later Darius also dies. Virgil is crowned Emperor
1092	Falen shows the fire powers. He is crowned Emperor
1095	Tobias Llyr becomes the Emperor's Leviathan
1164	End of the Third Dynasty
1929	End of the Fourth Dynasty Daven Aidan becomes Emperor
1933	Micah Aidan born
1964	Micah sires a son, Rhys
1966	Micah sires a second son, Mihael
1979	Daven Aidan dies. Micah Aidan becomes Emperor.
1987	Rhys sires a son, Doren
1991	Rhys sires a son, Mercaida
2002	Malachi Kaemon weds Isabella Llyr Doren Aidan dies after falling from his horse
2003	Rhys Aidan is assassinated
2004	Cian Kaemon born
2010	Mercaida Aidan sires a son, Einan
2012	Einan Aidan dies from an illness
2013	Sibley Varden born
2014	Dante Kaemon born Micah Aidan dies. Mercaida Aidan becomes the Emperor
2016	Mercaida Aidan sires a son, Ardel
2018	Mercaida's Leviathan dies suddenly of an illness
2020	Ardae declares war on Ventae
2021	Ardaen soldiers destroy Ventae's palace. The deLunnen family scatters
2023	Wyrllyr is struck by a plague. One fifth of the city dies of illness. Sibley Varden becomes an orphan after his parents die.
2024	Kaze deLunnen approaches Ventae's protectorate and begs for the power to protect his land Sibley Varden is taken into the Kaemon household
2025	"A Gift of Silence" Tamerin Llyr becomes the Emperor's Leviathan
2026	Mercaida pulls his army back, returning most of Ventae back to the Ventaen people, except for a few small towns on the border
2028	Kaze deLunnen joins the Emperor's guard
2033	Mercaida dies of poisoning. Ardel is crowned Emperor. Tamerin Llyr dies a few weeks later. "No More Crying" Dante Kaemon and Sibley Varden become promised to each other
2034	Dante Kaemon is accepted into the Knighthood. He leaves for Ardae
2038	Sora deLunnen born
